Privacy Policy

The Transportation Energy Institute has prepared this Privacy Policy to describe the types of personal and non-personal information collected through its Web site, and affiliated websites (“Web Site”), the use of such information, and to whom and under what circumstances the such information is disclosed. By using these Web Sites, you signify your assent to this Privacy Policy and to the Web Site’s Terms of Use. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy or the Web Site’s Terms of Use, please do not use the Web Site.

Collection of Information

Personal Information
In general, the Transportation Energy Institute only collects personal information from you when you voluntarily provide it to us by (1) creating a profile on the Web Site; (2) subscribing to one of the services, such as news, media, and magazine services; (3) registering for events; and (4) contacting the Transportation Energy Institute (including the webmaster, customer service representatives, or other employees) by email. In connection with these activities, the Transportation Energy Institute may collect personal information from you, including, but not limited to, your name, physical address, e-mail address, username, password, whether or not you are a Transportation Energy Institute member, telephone number, fax number, company name, title, tax jurisdiction, credit card number, and credit card expiration date.

Non-personal information
As part of the standard operation of the Web Site, the Transportation Energy Institute may collect certain non-personal information from you including, but not limited to, your browser type (e.g., Chrome or Internet Explorer), operating system (e.g., Windows or Macintosh), Internet service provider, IP address, and the domain name from which you accessed the Web Site (e.g., yahoo.com).

Children

The Transportation Energy Institute does not direct the Web Site to, nor does it knowingly collect any personal information from, children under 13.
